Diamond Girl

We did it again. But unlike the tune of the pop star (?) who shall remain nameless, because her name is mentioned much too frequently, no oops! We adopted again.

Meet Diamond, our new little pup. She’s a 5 year old pug/terrier mix—at least that’s my theory. The family that surrendered here wasn’t exactly sure of her parentage. You be the judge.

What I do know about her is that she is cute beyond words, frisky and obviously used to being the queen D. We thought Pete would be a problem, but nooooooo such is not the case. He’s been the perfect gentleman, not that he’s had much choice. Diamond came in with such an air of entitlement that he was forced to defer to her will—to a point. He’s obviously very annoyed when she tries to “top” him. He leaps out of her reach and then all is well.

For the most part, the kids play nicely together. And that makes both mommies very happy.

  2. Okay...I'm just sayin'...it always starts this way. Just one or two..then it's a half dozen, and three dozen, and next thing you know they are condemning your place and taking you off to the nuthouse all scraggly looking after eating cat and/or dog food for months in the house with your 90 bazillion animals. PLEASE, just..be..careful.

    Man, she's cute.

    cute dog...

I still use my mantra to my children each time they approach me about a-n-i-m-a-l-s I say "If I want another thing to take care of I will have another baby!" then I laugh and say, "and I am too old to have another baby!" then I laugh uncontrollably... they hate that.

    woof!

  7. Y'all are getting quite the menagerie going. When you get to two of each (feline and canine), I recommend strong liquor.

  8. My aunt's cat initially was BS about the addition of the pup but, as time went by, they began "catching" the cat grooming the dog. It's the cutest thing in the world to see!

    Adorable little pup!

hahn and sporks: Believe me--we are done. For another 4 legged furry to move in a two legged furry would have to move out.

  13. Very nice indeed! Congrats!

I must ask... is this your dog or is it D's dog? If it's D's dog we can start calling you Grandma and I kinda like the ring of that. ;)
