Nothing and Not Quite Everything

#MicroblogMondays
First and foremost, happy Spring, officially. The weather has been un-Spring like of late, but hey, on the calendar IT IS SPRING and hope is alive that warmer weather will follow.

In that vein and in no particular order, thoughts, events, and ideas that have sprung in recent days:

1. The actor booked an episode of Chicago Fire and it aired last Tuesday. The episode titled, "Forgiving, Relentless, Unconditional" is available on-line. He comes on-screen at about the 37 minute mark.

2. It is very weird seeing your kid now a man, on television. I thought seeing him on stage was weird (exhilarating, but weird) screen is that multiplied by thousands. More, even.

3. Mom's oldest sibling celebrated her 95th birthday a few weeks ago. I have a couple of cousins who are struggling to make it to sixty, by way of contrast.

4. The Starbucks© #RaceTogether campaign  . Stumble out the gate, looking forward to next steps.

5.. THIS: My life is a struggle of constantly wanting to go out and have fun with people and also simultaneously trying to avoid human contact.

6. It has been mentioned here before and you may read it again, and again, I LOVE potato chips. Well, potatoes in most any form, but chips--on me, oh my.. That said, I haven't had any potato chips in over six weeks. (Yes, I relapsed went on a bender). The loss was re-gained and now, on the way back down, again.

7. Saturday (over Sunday) was more conducive to riding and so I did. Not crazy fast (that isn't ever going to happen) or crazy far (only about 5 miles round trip) but good to be out, good to not have collapsed upon return.

8. Discipline: per Merriam-Webster.com  5b: orderly or prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior.

9. Song lyric: would you mind, if I made love to you 'till I'm satisfied?.  haunting and halting. Stop.

10. Speaking of lyrics: Happy Really:? Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof. Really?

10a. Was the last film I saw in a theater August: Osage County?

And today: <>bSNOW

  1. 1. & 2. Well done for the actor and I bet that is weird. I will try and watch that as soon as I am somewhere that the internet works for longer than two minutes.
    3. Both lovely and hard, I am sure.
    4. I actually suspect Sbux was trying for something good to come of it. They tend to err in the side of something good over bad as far as social issues are concerned. (I remember Howard telling people who didn't like their equal treatment of their gay employees to feel free to sell their stock.) At least with a stumble people are talking a little.
    5. Me too. At the moment I'm going with avoid people.
    6. I relapsed with my nemesis chocolate. So you aren't alone. Back in the saddle.
    7. Um, five miles seems like a lot.
    8. This.
    9. Ha! No comment.
    10. Well, sing anything happily and it's, ah, happy!
    10a. yes?
SNOW: go away stupid falling white stuff. Seriously. You've overstayed your welcome.

    1. 1 & 2. I hope you do. He doesn't get a chance to stretch his muscles much, but it is still a good look.
      3. Yes.
      4. I do feel they are well intentioned and some of the next steps seem positive. We'll see. Agreed, it is . . something.
      5. For the most part, as am I.
      6. Oh, the chocolate. Oddly, as much as I love chocolate, I can resist more than chips. Maybe because I can't have nuts. Unless of course, it is cake.
      7. Five does seem like a lot. It felt like a lot. I had to stop a lot even beyond the traffic signals to rest.
      8. Everyday.
      9. ::insert theme music of your choice::
      10. I guess
      10a. I think so. Honestly don't remember.

      SNOW:: true that.

  2. Very cool about your son. Is he the doctor? My daughter and I just watched and she was enthralled (as was I).

We're having a spring day here, but snow is forecast for later in the week.

  5. That is really cool that your son was on the show. Going over to watch now.

You can't listen too closely to lyrics or you'll pause and say, "wait, what did I just sing aloud?"

How awesome! I am a Chicago Fire fan! I will have to go home tonight to watch again! Ride sister ride! Wish I had the time and energy to ride. The closest I get is the bike at the gym when I can get motivated!

  10. I am looking forward to clicking on all your links - especially see that handsome actor.

I know you said you'd ride your bike in 40 degree weather (still a little cold for me) but we haven't even seen 40 yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

#5 is the story of my life until I finally made peace with being an introvert.

I am back trying to beat my sugar addiction. Very hard when there are jelly beans EVERYWHERE!

    1. The 40 has to be a flat 40. That is to say, little to no wind. Bright, clear day. Today, for instance, today was 40 (depending on where you were) that felt more like mid to lower 30s.

      #5 Making peace. . . ohm

Oh wow, if potato chips tasted like jelly beans, I could kick the chips in a minute. ::wink::
