Super Bowled Over

I don't know how much a Super Bowl ad spot is going for these days. I do know, that the ads ARE the thing. And of the few that have I've seen so far, this hit me. Full disclosure, I am not a huge fan of ketchup and as a "Chicago Hot Dog" person (when I eat hot dogs) NEVER on a hot dog. Still, I like this ad. It's fun.

I'll tune in to see what folks who paid trillion bucks (or whatever it is) for air time bring to the party.

Oh, and somewhere in there, a football game will be happening. Cheers and pass the chips!

  1. Well, I was glad to see the mustard out there in the field. I'm not a ketchup fan.

And, the game? Well, I don't like either team this year and make actually forgo the whole thing...
    Pass the chips, indeed!

    1. And isn't that odd, that mustard is with "the ketchups"?

I'm sure I'll have it on, but as background to whatever else . . reading, or something. ;-)

  2. Since no one in our group cares about either team, conversation will be on-going during the game but everyone will stop and pay attention to the commercials. This hot-dog one is precious and I always get teary for the Budweiser ones. I think there is more pressure on the advertisers these days than on the teams.

    1. Yes, the Budweiser ones are usually tear-jerkers. Yeah, the game will go in the books and the ads (good and bad) will get talked about for some time after.

  3. Awwwwwwww. This reminds me of a story.

When I lived in Arizona, we went through a really bad forest fire. It turned quickly and so people who had gone to work weren't allowed to go home. I don't remember the length of time, but I do know it was a day or two or more later that people were allowed back to their houses for 15 minutes. Long enough to get medication and pets, basically. This woman I know's cat was missing. His name was Oscar. She sang the Oscar Meyer weiner song ("his" song) and he came sauntering out of the forest. Now pets & hotdogs together make me tear up. So I'm crying. But in a good way.

    1. Wow...didn't see that coming. I'm glad Oscar and his human found each other again. So sweet. :-)
