Please Don't Talk

…..to me when it’s dark, raining and Diamond is pooping. You see, I’m tracking the poop as I must scoop the poop expelled from the pooch. When the pooch finishes her poop she skitters. She sometimes skitters left and sometimes she skitters right so I must keep my eyes and mind on where she laid the poop.

It is November. There are small brownish leaves all over. In the rain and the dark clumps of small brownish leaves look a lot like the brownish poop of one small Diamond pooch.

So please, hush. I must focus.

  1. Picking up poop is serious business. I will be very quiet.

Why, by the by, do we insist on putting something degradable into plastic bags and making it last forever?

  6. Believe it or not, the local parks dept. has biodegradable dog poop bags. They go to the local Eco-Compost.

    Just a FYI moment. LOL

  7. I am a newly minted member of those people who walk their dogs while holding baggies in their other hand.

I feel very foolish and Socks, the puppy looks at me as if I am insane every time I lean over and retrieve his shit....

  8. I wish my neighbors were as thoughtful as you. I get tired of stepping over piles of doggie poo that they leave near my patio.

  10. I go through this every morning at 5 am. In the park, in the dark, with bag in hand, trying to discern what is for me to pick up and what is some even more gross disgusting thing.

    I feel your pain.

  11. Suddenly, having a yard for our pups to poop in seems like a very wonderful thing indeed.

In our yard, this time of year, the poop gets raked up with the leaves. It blends amazingly, as you have discovered. :)
