The Next Step, Someday, Maybe

Melody, for many reasons, is no longer.
I've given some thought to the next phase

The cruiser is my aesthetic and likely, most logical choice.

But I've wanted a trike for a while now and pause only to muse about what choosing a trike says.
It's like downsizing one's bed.
Turning a corner, so to speak

All of it is moot as I have neither the money or space for a replacement personal transportation
vehicle.

I do love thinking about it. I hope I can do more than think about it by this time next
year. In the meantime, what to name her.

hmmmmm.

  1. If I didn't live somewhere so hilly, I'd like either of those! (I love the idea of a grown-up trike.)

  2. I was on the bike trail this morning and saw at least 6 adult trikes with very happy and contented drivers.

    1. I am sure I will be one contented driver. Eventually. Six? Wow.

I saw a family with a tandem bike with a rather impressive kid/stuff hauler trailer. Another wow.

  3. My friend Lisa had one of those trikes and she loved it. It was a foldable model, iirc. Unfortunately, she didn't lock it up in her backyard and it was stolen... they are popular!

    1. A fold up one might solve storage issue.

Yes, must lock well. I have had even locked bikes stolen.

  4. They are both lovely! I love the aqua color, too. I love the trike! I feel like some of those recumbent bikes I see people riding around look more, um, transitional than the trike. That just looks nice and stable. And it doesn't have a motor on it! Go with what feels right. And I can't wait to hear the new name! I

    1. I like the aqua too! It will be awhile but am kicking some names around. Will have to meet her before settling on one. :-)

  5. The trike seems so practical for running errands and such, but I too would have a problem finding a place to store it. Maybe you could just hire a pedicab and let someone else do the hard work : )

    1. That's exactly it, the trike feels like and errand vehicle and the other recreational. It comes down to what function shall rise to the top, I guess.

  6. Love the Cruiser.. No need for all those gears and shifts with the speed I bike. And it goes perfectly with my attire...t-shirt and cotton shorts. I am not into that gut-sucking spandex fancy outfits. Mine is used...but with a little TLC it works like a charm. Have Fun
