Poof. The Time Went

Cinnamon and cleaning do not mix.
The plan was to post on Saturday. But, early morning meandering, and then cleaning, and then, more meandering and poof, before I knew it, Sunday. A new day, a new plan but--well, chores, errands, and stuff and then, well, fudge on a stick, it is Monday.

Monday came and went like an order of fried green tomatoes with extra sauce. That is to say, fast.

Suddenly it is a (now expected) cool-ish Tuesday beyond the middle of the month, in center of the season. Folks all around are clamoring about Summer (and requisite plans) where I feel barely settled into Spring and having, "not done a thing."

And really? Not wanting to do anything yet wanting to do everything to take my mind off the twenty-sixth of May, a week from today. As much as I lament the loss of time and feeling like precious time has been flying by with little to show, I am hoping that each of the next seven days truly are an order of fried green tomatoes.

with extra sauce.

  1. Why do you need "something to show" for your time? Idle time is not wasted time. I love idle time. Although I too am amazed at how fast time is moving.

I do not know what the 26th of May means to you but I will be sending all good and calming thoughts to you.

    1. It is odd...I don't remember feeling like this before . . .

I think maybe I feel time slipping away and there are so many things, so many things--not only that I want to do--but that need doing.

Yet, I feel stuck. I don't feel content. I don't feel that idling in my best interest.

      I think.

    4. All that said, I am trying to not beat myself up (so) much for listening to my body and chilling when it so demands.

  2. I agree with 8th. Idle is def. not wasted. I'm thinking of you sweetie. (PS The little "pick this sort of food" thing, which is terrible because it's things like pizza and ice cream and why?????, so I can post, thinks a coffee drink with whipped cream is ice cream. Silly pick this food sort thingy.)

    1. I may get to there, but for now, when I am not at work, I feel like I should be working--even if the work is play.

When I first read this I didn't know what the frack. . . then I figured it was the verification--which I had no idea!? Weird.

    2. Too many things to do with so little time. I hardly get enough time to read newspapers. Take care of yourself.

  3. Wishing you lots of fried green tomatoes and more sauce than you know what to do with.

  4. Yes. Fried green tomatoes and lots of sauce. I so relate to this post. Idling not in the best interest when things are pelting you with the urgency of DO, which never seems to be over.
