Apparently we had a week of pleasant weather in Portland... the week that T and I were out of town. Figures! Still, we don't really expect 'nice' weather around here until July. And, umbrellas? Why bother. Raincoat with a hood is so much better for a rainy climate. Cheers!
Sunshine, you are loved! And beautiful flowering trees. Sometimes chilly spring weather prolongs the bloom, which is a silver lining to the chill and the broken umbrellas. I hope we get some spring before it becomes sweltering summer, seems we skip right over that season lately.
Ground cover is usually fast spreading. You should ask your neighbor if you could have a few snippets.
ReplyDeleteOur weather feels like Seattle and Chicago had a baby.
I need the sunshine AND some warmth!
I might as the "neighbor" if I ever, in all the years I've lived in this neighborhood, spied a living soul within or about the premises.
DeleteOurs too. Enough already.
Snickering at the last image. We had winds like that with rain a few days ago, and there didn't seem to be any point in trying to wrestle an umbrella.
ReplyDeleteMore often than not, I simply don't. I've had more than a few wrestle themselves away from me.
DeleteI throw mine in the trash. ;-)
All the pictures are great. I'm not sure why I like the umbrella one so much, but I do.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The umbrella one is ripe for many stories.

ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a decent raincoat for ages. Mail order has been failing me in that regard lately. ::sigh::

ReplyDeleteThat is a positive spun.
DeleteIt feels as though seasons are more erratic, much less predictable.
