Snippet

A Neighbor's Tree

A dream:  anxiety rising to the point of overflowing, looking for the milk. It isn't in any of the usual places so I began looking in some rather unusual places. Finally relief and then, immediate confusion. Why is there a gallon of milk in a dresser drawer?

And then I am awake.

Are you watching the Olympics? Loving it? Not? Somewhere in between?

  1. Ugh, sorry to hear about the anxiety dreams.

I love the Olympics! I have been watching a lot! As usual, I am disappointed with NBC's coverage but I'll take what I can get.

    Love the tree. So pretty!

    1. Thank you.

Me too, disappointed with the network's coverage.

      It is a pretty tree.

  2. I kind of feel like that anxiety dream might be real life for me half the time... :) They stink though, because you don't wake up rested and then you're wondering if it's a message about your milk being expired or your dresser drawers needing a cleanout or maybe a hallmark of a neurological disorder starting up... (oh spirally mind, you are so fun). I love the snowy tree! Olympics...I have tried watching a couple times, sadly it's not up on the tvs where I use the elliptical at the gym or I'd see a lot more. Or a little more. I keep missing the parts I want to see and then I end up spending 45 minutes staring at alpine downhill and feel like I should be reading. But I wish I could just on demand watch the figure skating...

Also I have not forgot! I just keep missing the stamps and I really want the pretty ones. Your card is still in the works!

  3. Anxiety dreams are awful. I am currently only half-awake because I was up late watching the Olympics! I like watching the skiing (downhill and biathlons/cross country etc) and speed skating. Will be watching the Big Air on the weekend, because a couple of kiwis are doing well in it. And we rarely have anyone doing well in any winter Olympics sport!

    Nice photo.

  4. I had one the other day where a cultish guru was trying to get me to join his cult and move into the compound. The pressure was overwhelming. I didn't want to go. Sigh. But yes, I'm enjoying the Olympics. They are always such a joy.
