Earwor Symphony

Hello yeah, it's been awhile
Not much, how 'bout you
I'm not sure why I called
I guess I really just wanted
to talk to you.

And I was thinking maybe later on
We could get together for a while
It's been such a long time
And I really do miss your smile

So, this song  has been in my mind off an on over the past several weeks, surprised to realize I even knew the lyrics after all these years. I don't remember liking the song (especially) when it was popular.

What song is swimming about your head these days?

Anyhoo.... here's to Monday.

  1. All kinds of songs play randomly in my head at any given moment. I woke up with, "This is it" by Staind this morning. Happy Monday! :)

    1. When I saw the title my mind went directly to Kenny Loggin's "This Is It" ~A pretty popular title, This Is It

  2. No particular ear-worm at the moment. Though having said that, I'm now going to have your song running through my head for the rest of the day! The same thing happened after Mel's post a week or two ago.

    1. Most mornings, while on the walk with the pooch, a song (lyric) pops. Sometimes it hangs around for the day (or more) sometimes it goes away.

  3. I heard a small clip of Sly and the Family Stone's "Everyday People" the other day and it is still on a continuous loop in my head. "We got to live together"

I remember when it came out in 1968 and we are still dealing with the same crap. So sad.

  4. I've been listening to a lot of children's music in the car as I shuttle my 4 year-old grandson about. For better or for worse, Boom Chicka Boom is often playing in my head. He demands that I sing along with the CD.

  5. I have no clue what's been in my head today. I do remember thinking of something while out and about earlier, but it escaped.

  6. The score of Evita. We went to see Evita this week, and now... you know... it's stuck in my brain on an endless loop.

  7. Won't let me put the video in here, so I'll leave a link.

I'm obsessed with this song right now:

  8. Oh, I forgot about that song! Great earworm. For some reason, as we were packing up the car for our vacation I had "Forever Your Girl" by Paula Abdul in my head, and I was also surprised at how many lyrics I remembered!
