"The universe is a stage on which your mind dances with your body, guided by your heart."
My heart, mind, and body dances with glee whenever I see my son on stage. Even in a difficult (where his character becomes angry and more . . ) role. The run of this play has ended. The next play is cast, research work will begin soon.
Queue the universe. Queue the music.

I am basking in the spotlight and pride of knowing him in a 6 degrees of separation kind of way. Perhaps someday I will be able to applaud in person.
ReplyDeleteBravo!
Perhaps you shall. I hope you do. :-)
DeleteI feel the same when my daughter sang in the talent show. In fact, yesterday my daughters did a duet on our couch and my husband and I were beaming. I was really into theater when I was a kid and I can't imagine my parents ever writing something like you did. Did they actually feel that way? Maybe but I rarely heard it. Artists spend a lot of time trying to explain why we are what we are so that people we love will understand. Your son's so lucky he doesn't have to. xo
ReplyDeleteWE need art and artists.
DeleteYou are very kind.
Congratulations to your son on his amazing review! I can only imagine what it must be like to see your son, transformed into someone else, lighting up the stage like that. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteIt is, at times, surreal. And always fun.
Proud mama moment. Savor!
ReplyDeleteOh yes. :-)
DeleteThat is an incredible review! I'm an old theatre geek, but my kidlets never caught the bug. My heart dances knowing the joy your heart must feel. Congratulations, proud momma!
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
DeleteGreat review of his work.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful thing, to have a son who is an actor! Like 8, I hope some day to get to see him perform. How fun would that be.
ReplyDeleteEm
Proud mum :-) It must be fun seeing him on stage. And he's handsome, too.
